Health and Safety Awareness Supervisors
This is an extended version of the awareness course and is aimed at enabling supervisors/team leaders to understand the additional responsibilities and actions required from them to support their organisations health and safety policy and satisfy regulatory requirements. (½ day)
Manual Handling Training
A short course aimed at those involved in manual handling activities, providing essential information on the risks associated with manual handling activities and the measure required for safe working such as correct lifting techniques.(2hrs)
Health and Safety Awareness
This is a short training session designed to be run in house and aimed at the whole workforce. Provides an overview of the organisations health and safety policy and how this relates to individuals work activities and covers general health and safety requirements which makes it ideal for induction programmes, refresher training or to be used to support improvement programmes. (2hrs)
Accident Investigation
Essential for those involved in the accident investigation process such as supervisors, managers and safety representatives. Looks at accident theories and relates them to workplace situations. Covers accident response requirements, investigation and reporting, including company policies and procedures. (1 day)
Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations
Provides an overview of the requirements of these regulations and applies them to workplace situations. Ideal for engineering staff and safety representatives. (1 day)
COSHH, CHIP & NONS
Provides an overview of the key requirements and discusses options for the practical implementation of procedures required for compliance. (1 day)
Display Screen Equipment Awareness
Aimed at DSE users and assessors. Looks at the risks associated with the prolonged use of DSE and the steps necessary to avoid ill health. This course is designed to enable ‘users’ to carry out a DSE self assessment in line with the requirements of the regulations. (2hrs)
Safety Management
A full day course aimed at managers and directors. Provides an overview of key legislative requirements and looks at the policies, processes and procedures necessary for the effective management health and safety.
Risk Assessment
Up to a one day course which introduces delegates to the regulatory framework surrounding the requirements for risk assessments, looks at the concepts of hazard and risk and guides delegates through the risk assessment process using work based examples.
Implementing OHSAS18001
An in depth look at the development and implementation of an occupational health and safety management system compliant with OHSAS18001. Uses practical examples and case studies to help you identify processes and procedures that are compatible with existing business processes.
General Environmental Awareness Training
Aimed at the whole workforce, provides a basic overview of key environmental issues, their context within the workplace and the role that individuals play within the company (2 hours)
Environmental Awareness Workshop
An extended version of the general environmental awareness training and allows for a practical exercise where individuals or teams identify environmental issues relating to their tasks/roles and develop improvement initiatives. (1/2 day)
Environmental Awareness – Managers
Overview of environmental issues and how these relate to the organisation. Explores the potential benefits associated with good environmental management and provides guidance an implementing a systematic approach to improving the environmental performance of the company. (½ day)
WEEE & RoHS Directives Workshop
Provides and overview of the key requirements of the Directives and identifies the potential implications to the organisation. A highly interactive session, which aims to assist in the development of an action plan in order to achieve readiness for compliance. (½ day)
Waste Minimisation
Enables participants to establish a waste minimisation strategy for their own company. Suitable for individuals or a team approach. Helps participants identify waste streams, the costs to the business, waste minimization opportunities and potential savings.
Producer Responsibility Packaging Regulations Workshop
Explains the legal framework, provides practical advice on assessing your companies obligation, ensuring compliance and optimising packaging usage to bring about environmental benefits and reduce the cost associated with compliance. (½ day)
Introduction to Environmental Management Systems
Provide practical information about the principles of environmental management systems. Takes a detailed look at the clauses of the standard and provides practical advice on appropriate policies processes and procedures required to meet relevant standards such as ISO14001 & EMAS. (1 day)
