Small Business Package (Options 1 - 3)
1 - Drafting of H&S Policy and Arrangements
Bespoke health and safety management manual for your business including specific policies and all applicable proforma including risk assessment proforma. Hard copy + electronic copy supplied on CD.
2 - Drafting of H&S Policy and Arrangements (as option 1)

Systematic review of current safety arrangements including a general risk assessment of your site / activities and formulation of a health and safety action plan.

Access by telephone/email/fax/text. Relevant written information, advice and guidance provided by SBM where required by email, fax or post. Regular updates on changes to legislation (email). Regular guidance on health and safety topics (email). The option of requesting additional services where required including site visits.
Other Services
Health and Safety Advisory Service (Competent Person Scheme) – To act as your Health and Safety Advisor for companies and organisations as required under The Management of Health and Safety Regulations 1999 which require employers to appoint a competent person(s) for health and safety advice. In many organisations it is sometimes difficult to fill this position internally. As part of our Competent Person service we assist to fill this skills gap.
Health and Safety Audit – A systematic check of your policies, procedures and controls - checking compliance, hazards and unsafe acts or conditions. This involves a comprehensive ‘walk-through’ survey, a critical review of documentation and management controls. Confidential reports are provided considering the findings with advice, guidance and an action plan. The intention of the audit is to bring the company up to speed with Health and Safety Regulations and good industry practice.
Health and Safety Audit or Review (diagnostic) - We will carry out a comprehensive health and safety audit or review of your premises and management systems including 'walk-through' survey of your site. You will then receive a report with recommendations (Health and Safety Plan) to assist you with compliance and improve your management of health and safety.
Policy – The drafting of your bespoke company Health and Safety policy and arrangements manual specific to your organisation.
Risk Assessment – Assisting companies and organisations with their risk assessment programme. This involves taking the organisation through the process of hazard identification. Organisations are provided with all the tools and the necessary documentation to comprehensively cover their risk assessment programme.
Specific Risk Assessment – Assisting organisations with specific assessments where necessary e.g. Manual handling, Display Screen Equipment (DSE), COSHH, PPE, Noise, Young Workers, Pregnant Workers, Fire, PUWER (Work Equipment), and specific projects or other tasks.
Management Systems - We can assist your organisation with implmenting management system standards for health and safety management (OHSAS 18001) and environmental management (ISO 14001).
Noise (Workplace Noise) – Carrying out workplace noise assessments to establish exposure levels. Reports document the measurements and state whether prescribed levels (Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005) have been exceeded and recommend applicable measures to manage noise. Noise (Environmental Noise) – Assistance with environmental noise issues including environmental noise. See noise page - click here.
Noise (Sound Insulation Testing) – Assistance with sound insulation testing of party walls and floors (Part E Building Regulatons). See noise page - click here.
LEV Testing– There is a legal requirement to test your local exhaust ventilation every 14 months to ensure that it is working effectively.
Air Monitoring – Air monitoring is a useful tool to ensure that controls that you are adequately controlling exposure to hazardous substances and that e.g. LEV systems are sufficient.
Asbestos – Assisting your organisation with compliance regarding the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (particularly Regulation 4 duty to manage)
- Type, 1,2,3 Surveys and report to MDHS100
- Drafting of asbestos register (usually with type 1 survey included)
